"CAM-LOCK" THROTTLE
CONTROL - SUZUKI
There are two switch-housing configurations as shown below:
Type
A: The throttle cable tubes exit at the 2 o'clock
position
Type B: The throttle cable tubes exit at the 6 o'clock position
(out the bottom)
Type
C: The throttle cable tubes exit the front of switch housing
Type D: Single cable - Please specify top or bottom exit
(Top Shown)
Note: Please indicate the correct configuration for your bike on
the order form.
Although
all years of Intruder/Volusia share the same throttle grip – the
handlebar end cap treatment varies by year & model:
(on stock installations).
INTRUDER
1400cc 1987-1999 has a chrome/plastic
end cap that snaps into the end of the handlebar.
INTRUDER
1500cc 1998-Present and INTRUDER 800cc 1992-Present have
bar end/balance (weight) that is held in place by rubber
inserts (into handle bar), which are expanded by tightening
the Phillips head at the end of the weight. (Caution: loosen
only enough to spin the weight freely then pull the unit
out intact. Too much loosening of the Phillips head will
cause the loss of parts into the handle bar).
BOULEVARD – Many ’07 Models share the type C configuration (i.e. M109, M50T, C50, Etc)
Single Cable – Seems exclusive to some models of Suzuki. This cable exits the switch housing towards the top OR Towards the bottom. Please specify which when ordering.
| Note: If you want to run the Kuryakyn grips you should order the #6240 – Universal ISO-Grips or #6262 – Universal ISO-Flame Grips. These use your bike’s OEM throttle sleeve. The “Cam-Lock” will not accommodate the #6235 or #6261 that s furnished with the throttle sleeve and grip already bonded. |
